07Approximately 30 percent of students attending SILS are foreign nationals. One characteristic of SILS is that almost all of these international students are degree-seeking students who will study at SILS for four years. In addition, SILS takes in many short-term (one-semester or one-year) exchange students every year from Waseda University's partner schools around the world, creating a diversified learning environment. International students come from approximately 50 countries and regions, including Asia, North America, Europe, and Africa. In addition to these students, the campus also attracts faculty members with international careers, and there are active interactions.
