One field of particular interest was Race and Gender Studies. Through interacting with diverse peers and esteemed faculty members, I was able to deepen my understanding of racial and gender-based discrimination prevalent in our daily life, especially as someone who has lived overseas. Through these dialogues, I also came to recognize the crucial role of social and economic inequality in perpetuating discrimination. This realization prompted me to explore potential solutions for fostering diversity within a capitalist framework, which led me to study the field of economics at the University of Vienna during the study abroad program. I am now applying this knowledge to my graduation research project, in the Seminar on Governance, focusing on the Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) practices in Japanese companies. My experience in the liberal arts program has been instrumental in cultivating my multifaceted perspective, and it remains a significant contributor to my ongoing personal development.I want to take I want to learn about Take courses from a number of clusters on the theme of gender and related topics such as religion, representation, language, and economicsCheck the web for detailsI want to decide my field of research after entering SILSgenderBecome interested in economics at theintroductory level, complete Concentration Program in economicsUtilizing the multifaceted perspective developed through SILS and one year of study abroadPICK UPFundamentals of Generative SyntaxSILS does not have “majors.” Instead, students can study a variety of academic fields that have been categorized into seven diverse “clusters” (subject groups) independently, broadly and in depth, in accordance with their own interests and concerns. We envision “liberal arts” as an open-minded and flexible mentality that transcends the boundaries of academia, regardless of whether it is in the humanities, sciences, or another area of study. In today’s increasingly complex society, there are many problems that conventional academic approaches cannot compete with. Knowledge from various fields comes together at SILS, and by engaging in dialogue, students will approach problems from new perspectives and open the way to the future by themselves. We will nurture human resources who are capable of taking on such a role.Courses in each cluster are divided into three levels: introductory, intermediate, and advanced. This allows students to construct their own “learning” according to their interests, from introductory education to the acquisition of advanced expertise.*For introductory courses, which are primarily taken by students in their first year, students are required to take classes from
