17FranceIndiaIndonesiaMy interest in mathematics and Japanese culture has led me to Waseda University, which I consider an ideal fusion of these interests, as not many Japanese universities offer this major in an English-based undergraduate program. Additionally, at Waseda, I have the opportunity to complement my major with a minor in another field of interest, enriching my academic experience. This university has been instrumental in my learning and growth, fostered by a vibrant and diverse community. Professors here are very supportive, always ready to assist when I face challenges. Furthermore, Waseda hosts numerous student events, including intercultural exchanges and career/alumni talks, enriching my university experience!I always loved traveling and learning more about other countries and cultures. Japan was one of the countries that attracted me the most, by its intriguing mix of tradition and modernity. Waseda gave me the opportunity to come study in Tokyo at a prestigious university, and get an insight into the real Japanese culture and lifestyle. Studying in JCulP is providing me with a unique and inimitable global experience. At Waseda, people from all different backgrounds and cultures are welcomed warmly by both the student body and faculty alike. I believe JCulP is giving me the possibility to study both media and culture, and to take part in constructive discussions in an international environment. After my studies, I wish to work in the media industry to share the knowledge I developed during my university time with people who, like me, enjoy discovering the world.Reflecting on my three years at Waseda University, engaging in diverse courses and research has shaped and expanded my passion, unveiling new interests. Although in my first year, the number of courses I chose to take resulted in an intense amount of workload, after a year, the amount of freedom and time I had allowed me to focus on things outside academics as well. Outside of academics, I enjoy watching movies, playing games, photography, and programming. Although I’ve completed more than half my time here at Waseda, there are still lots of courses I wish to take and experience. Depending on your interests and passion, there are lots of courses to take and clubs to join at Waseda, and that is something all prospective students can look forward to.BEZANILLA Y BOURGES, MalenaSchool of Culture, Media and Society Global Studies in Japanese Cultures Program (JCulP)Graduated from Lycée Pierre LagourgueAditya SundarSchool of Fundamental Science and EngineeringMajor in Computer Science and Communications EngineeringGraduated from India International School in Japan (IISJ)Katerina Putri AllegraciaSchool of Fundamental Science and EngineeringMajor in Mathematical Sciences Graduated from Anglo-Chinese School (ACS) Jakarta
