The diversification of the media is about to bring dramatic changes to the very structure of the world. In order to act practically as a professional journalist in true sense of the word, it is necessary to learn and think about the structure, history and theories of journalism as well as the media in a critical way. By way of providing theoretical studies about journalism, J-School will train journalists’ “eyes” to look into the future on the basis of the past.Group of courses : Journalism Research Seminar, Media Research Seminar Theoretical Courses [Journalism Media Research (Basic/Advanced)]The Waseda Journalism School (J-School) emphasizes five common concepts (training objectives) that students should acquire, and the school offers groups of courses corresponding to these concepts.
