現代政治研究領域Contemporary Politics政治思想・政治史研究領域Political Thought andPolitical History比較政治研究領域Comparative Politics国際関係研究領域International RelationsFour Research AreasAn Innovative Research and Education System 政治学コースでは、４つの研究領域を軸として、専門的に深く、総合的に広く、政治学全般を学ぶことができます。自分の研究課題に直接かかわる領域はもちろん、それに隣接する領域についても学べます。多角的な視座からの学際的な研究が、これによって可能となっています。 現代政治学の諸理論の探求と現代日本政治の分析、アメリカ・イギリスといった先進国の比較現代政治分析を行います。その中にはメディアやコミュニケーションの理論と分析も含まれます。 西洋および日本の政治思想史と現代の規範的政治理論について探求を行います。大きな特徴は、政治史や政治思想に密着した憲法も同時に学ぶことです。 世界各地域の政治を、比較と歴史の視座から分析します。世界の中の日本という視点をもって世界政治の現在に、実証を含む多様なアプローチを試みます。 国際政治、国際関係論、国際政治史、外交史を専門として、国際関係の理論や歴史を学び、現代の国際関係の分析を行います。国際関係をグローバルな視座でとらえ、歴史的、思想的、理論的に探求していく研究方法が特徴です。12先進の研究・教育システム４つの研究領域制The Political Science Course provides students with an education in political science that is both very specialized and comprehensive in scope. The program covers a wide range of political science fields, centering around four research areas. Organizing courses in this way enables students to study not only areas directly related to their research but contiguous areas, thus making possible interdisciplinary research from a diverse viewpoint. This research area covers a number of in contemporary politics, the analysis of modern Japanese politics, and the comparative contemporary politics of developed nations such as the United States, and United Kingdom, for example. This area also includes courses on the theory and analysis of media and communications.This research area explores the history of political thought of the West and of Japan, together with modern normative political theory. The distinguishing feature of this set of courses is that they study constitutions closely related to political history and political philosophy.This research area analyzes global politics from a comparative as well as a historical point of view. A wide variety of approaches, including the positive approach, is applied to analyzing contemporary world politics within a global context and from the perspective of Japan’s place in the world.Students in this research area specialize in International Politics, Theories of International Relations, History of International Politics, or Diplomatic History. They apply their knowledge to analyzing the current state of international relations.
