Art and Architecture laboratoryMaster course29Takeshi HAGIWARA LaboratoryOur objective is to pursue comprehensive and practical Architecture design theory to connect Architecture and Art. From historical (the time axis) and geographical (the space axis) multi-layered point of view, we practice architecture design and give mentoring for studies, based on two research themes; one is “FORM” and “TECHNOLOGY” that questions relationship between architecture form and the technology (material/ construction methodology) which is original meaning of Art, another is “FORM” and “CONTEXT” that questions relationship between architecture form and context of both city and nature.Plus, we seek theoretical studies on the organic Architecture / Architects such as F. L. Wright and Saarinen, and research unique form by Architects locating on the frontier of Europe such as Aalto and A.
